Hall Offices
Each hall is served by a hall office located within the hall.

Mondays – Thursdays: 0830-1300, 1345-1745hrs
Fridays: 0830-1300, 1345-1715hrs
Saturdays-Sundays & Public Holidays: Closed
Mail
Internal & external mail
It's internal if both the sender and destination are on campus. Otherwise, it's external. Appropriate postage is required for external mail -- none required for internal mail.
Sending mail
Internal mail must be handed to the Hall Office. If you drop it into a post box, it won't be delivered. The postman comes to the Hall Office twice a day Monday through Friday (except public holidays). You can leave your external mail at the Office for him to pick up or drop it into a post box.
Receiving mail
Mail is delivered to letter boxes assigned to each room after the postman's visit. We recommend that you check your box daily.
To facilitate prompt delivery, make sure you inform the sender to have it properly addressed.

Parcels & registered mail
When mail is registered or cannot fit into your box, the Hall Office will send you a note to collect it.
Phones
You may set up a personal phone line in the room.
Application forms are available from Nanyang Supermarket. Phone charges will apply and the phone company will bill you directly. If you are not a Singapore Citizen, a deposit will be required. Call Toll-Free: 1609 for enquiries.
Internet connectivity
Computer rooms
Each hall is equipped with 8 networked PCs in the computer room. Only hall residents may use the computers. A computer account obtainable from the university's computer centre, CITS, (Centre for IT Services) is required.
Connecting from your room
All rooms are equipped with network points connected to the university's computer network. To connect to the internet, follow the directions in the Quick Start guide. There are 2 network points in a double room and 1 in each single room.
Wireless network
Wireless connectivity is available at the reading rooms and canteens.
Dining
No meals are provided by the Halls, residents may have their meals at any of the canteens on campus or they may use the cooking facilities at the Halls to prepare their own meals.
If you have a specific diet or are abstaining from certain foods, do check out the canteens for stalls that cater to your needs.
Maintenance
Should repairs or maintenance work be required either in your room or elsewhere in the hall, please make a Work Request via StudentLink.
The Hall Office will arrange for repairs to be carried out at no charge (unless the damage was caused by negligence or mischief on your part).
Newspapers
If you would like to have newspapers delivered to your door, please place your order with the newspaper vendor (Tel: 6892 0076, Pager: 9595 2476). The main local English paper is The Straits Times.
Security
Security matters should be referred to the Campus Security Division located at NS1-B1-06 (use lift NS1-1). Staff are on duty 24hrs a day, seven days a week. (Tel : 6790 5200).
